Employers are finding lots of creative ways to retain new parents in the workplace and are building employee loyalty and engagement in the process. Come hear our panel discuss different ways they have succeeded in making their workplace more family-friendly – including supporting breastfeeding mothers, providing paid family leave, childcare subsidy plans, and even onsite child care.  Panelists will discuss the costs and benefits to each program, as well as all the lessons learned along the way.

Participants will learn:

  • Laws and best practices regarding accommodating new parents and breastfeeding mothers.
  • How to develop, implement, and administer benefit programs beneficial to new parents.
  • How to retain new parents through benefit offerings.
  • Strategies for communicating organizational values through benefits and policies.

Our panelist list is growing, but currently includes:

  • Kelly Klein is the proud owner, founder, and CEO of Groennfell Meadery and Havoc Mead. She is also the proud mother of Nora.
  • Christine Dodson is the COO and co-founder of Mamava. With over 25 years in design, and advertising, working on brands like Pantene, Wolverine World Wide, Patagonia, Black Diamond. Christine’s experience includes management positions at Grey Advertising in New York City, and State Street Corporation in Boston. She has a B.S. in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.
  • Genevieve Habeck is the Director of Education and Outreach for Invest EAP, the only statewide Vermont-based employee, family, and organizational assistance program. Her areas of expertise include worksite wellness, total worker health (and mental health!), and best practices for work/life balance.
  • One more panelist TBD!
